The number of times Paul touched my life over more than 25 years are impossible to count. From the many earnest and thoughtful discussions concerning customer problems, in which Paul always made addressing customer needs his highest focus, to annual birthday greetings or impromptu social calls and messages, or technical brainstorming sessions spurred by an intriguing bug or some obvious technical improvement, he was always sincere, thoughtful and intelligent. He was a great teacher to me. He found humor even while taking seriously his obligation to serve a customer in crisis and his deep humanity was recognized by everyone who knew him. He clearly loved his dog and family. I am deeply saddened by his passing and know that he will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. - Peter Dorfman
