I met Paul through Nicky when we were both software engineers at HP in the 80s. We all played D&D together for years, where Paul was a brilliant Dungeon Master, always keeping us on our toes and thoroughly entertained. He also plumbed in a gas stove for us, including testing gas joints with a match! As time moved on we saw them less often but always thought fondly of them. More recently they came to see us in Wales and it was so lovely to see them happy and to talk about old memories. Paul was one of those super smart, positive, lovely people, making the news of his passing even more shocking and tragic. He enriched our lives and will always remember him with a smile.
